Horse Riding

Our Pony care and riding project is a chance for children who would otherwise not have the chance, to learn the basics of riding and horse care with 1-1 lessons.

The riding school is approved by the British Horse Society and also an official Pony Club Centre and aims to link young people to horses and hopefully explore the many horse-related career and leisure opportunities. Keep yourself updated through our facebook or contact us via email on imran @ or telephone 01452 – 30 81 27.

Our priority group are local inner-city children who cannot afford to ride normally. There is a waiting list and a weight limit of 12 stones/76kg/168lbs. The prices start at £2.50 for a 10 minute ride or £5 for a 20 minute lesson. All the lessons are on a one-to-one basis. These prices are substantially less than commercial riding schools and subsidised by generous individuals and organisations to allow children who wouldn’t normally be able to afford to learn, and live near the farm. If you can afford to pay regular prices and have transport, please visit any of the established riding schools in the county.

PLEASE NOTE: We have VERY limited capacity to take on new students so will only take on new children who attend any of the five closest schools. (Widden, Al-Ashraf, Hatherley, St James or Tredworth). If your child does not attend these schools then we may consider applications from children on free school meals, disability, via social work referral, etc.
