Friends, funders and supporters of the farm

We know for a fact that the farm wouldn't be able to run without the support of many groups and individuals. These range from some of young volunteers who help out at the weekend to big national organisations that provide us with financial grants or help from businesses to keep the work going. All of these are really important, and we're thankful to everyone. You can make your own contribution via https://mydonate.bt.com/charities/friendshipcafe

Biffaward

Biffaward is a multi-million pound fund which awards grants to community and environmental projects across the UK. The fund's money comes from landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services. Biffaward is managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) on Biffa's behalf.

We'd like to thank Biffaward for providing the grant to build the new cafe area at the farm.

The Summerfield Charitable Trust

The Summerfield Charitable trust has been helping us for literally almost two decades, with small and large grants to help us start off different projects. Visit http://www.summerfield.org.uk/ and watch the video about the Trust, which includes a bit about their involvement at the City Farm.

Police Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire

The Police Crime Commissioner, Martin Surl, is one of the main supporters of the farm. Mr Surl has amongst his priorities, the development of young people, and through the Farm and our other projects, this is one of our key aims and one that we excel in. Mr Surl's Office enables the farm to employ one adult supervisor onthe farm to oversee the young people who volunteer throughout the year.

Ernest Cook Trust

The Ernest Cook Trust supports a project whereby our gardening expert Rob is able to promote 'grow your own' in particular amongst young people and Rob and his team have been having particular success with this at not just the farm but other places, turning disused pieces of land into crops that lead to healthy and delicious meals.

Rich Pickings

'Rich Pickings', a prestigious Tetbury-based garden design company, have been kind enough to a organise fundraising event with fellow gardeners to raise money for different charities, of which our own little allotment has been selected as a deserving recipient. Together with the support of our other funders, including Barnwood Trust and the Gloucestershire Disability Fund, the volunteers are hoping to complete the sensory garden, and construct an outdoor pizza oven, and build a shelter.

Emma Willis

Emma Willis runs a prestigious shirt-making company, selling shirts to the rich and famous, but was so impressed with the farm and Friendship Cafe that she donated to us a brand new vehicle that we use for all the manure runs and animal movements and everything else in between. The vehicle is one of the most vital components involved in running the farm, and with our previous bad experiences of unreliable vehicles, has been a life-saver for our continuation.
Visit www.emmawillis.com for information on Emma's clothing company.
