We have a Shetland pony at the farm, his name is Paddy! He is beautiful and loves to eat polos, although he is on a strict diet.. Paddy has appeared at numerous events aound the county including the Gloucester Day parade and is very popular. paddy has been kindly loaned to the farm by two locals, Malcolm & Tina Penning

Improvements at the Farm

Thanks to SITA Trust we now have had some major improvements to our facilities.

Cafe Corner

The cafe is now open! Do come in and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, cold drink or ice creams. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch here. We hope to be able to link up with local producers and sell quality, wholesome farm produce from small holders and farmers.

Rabbit Kits

All of the baby bunnies have been sold now, thank you to everyone who brought a rabbit, the money goes towards the farm. i.e animal food, and just general farm equipment.

New Office Being Built

You may have noticed how the farm is a building site right now. Well of course we have the cafe corner being constructed. But there is also that weird looking set of poles in the middle that may have got you wondering. well that's going to hopefully be the new farm office. This project is completely being done using volunteers, and will show what a bit or raw talent, piles of enthusiasm and lots of hard work can achieve.

you can see pictures of the volunteers hard at work making it here

Cabinet Visit

Cabinet Visit

Margaret Firth from the Cabinet Office came to visit on in April. She is a policy Manager for the Office for the Civil Society and came to do a short visit of the Barton and Tredworth area. She met up with a few groups working in the area that fit in with their "localism" vision, and generally seeing what's happening around here.

New Cafe Being Built

Construction of the Cafe

Work on the new cafe has started. So for the next month, the farm will be a bit of a building site. But we're still open for visitors. Hopefully it won't get too loud here, and the animals don't seem to mind too much right now.

You can see pictures of the construction here

Building a website

Well I'm finally getting around to building this website. I'm learning as I'm going along. It won't be pretty for a while, but I hope I can get a lot of content up here quite quickly at least.
